Yimtubezina Museum and Cultural Center
Our Services
Permanent and Temporary Exhibitions
Established to be state-of-the-art museum, YZ is equipped with a variety of features such as showcases, panels, lights, and more. The museum's nine main rooms are redesigned to be used for a variety of purposes. Six of those rooms will serve as permanent and temporary exhibition halls, with a total area of 114 sq. meters.
Gallery
Among the multidimensional definitions and types of cultural heritage, artwork is one that represents a certain society's values, daily activities, and identities.
Despite the high number of artists working in Addis Ababa, the actual number of working galleries is very small. Realizing this, our museum works in collaboration with various artists and art institutions.
Our Library
As a result of the changes it has undergone so far, YZ has been able to collect and organize various art, culture, and heritage-related media such as magazines and newspapers, as well as exhibition catalogs.
The museum has collected over 200 books on Ethiopian culture and history, with another 200 more books on art specific to Ethiopia.
In order to widely share our collection and encourage learning on Ethiopian history and culture, YZ has established an Arts, Culture and Heritage Library for the benefit of the wider community and art lovers.

Publication goals must also be submitted. Students may indicate course or thesis work related to their request. Staff and trained volunteers can assist in the search for specific information in catalogs, published vital records, newspapers, and directories. For each hour of contracted research, we will provide scans or photocopies of the most pertinent material found and will advise on sources consulted.

Please note: Research within the Museum pertaining to ethnography archives, art work registry, and collection storerooms may be conducted only by persons possessing prior, valid, and written permission.
Upon request from stakeholders and other institutes, the museum can conduct various researches on the field of culture, heritage and visual arts. Findings would be announced through publications and exhibitions.
